For exterior they would need to be installed in damp location such as a covered porch, soffit, etc.. A place where the fixtures would not receive direct saturation.

Honestly I haven’t had the chance to install this yet but I have several friends that have used these before and it didn’t seem to be difficult. Love them! When I bought my condo they had track Lighting in the office and it was so outdated, ugly, and a total eyesore! I had my Handyman remove them fix the ceiling and then put these in. When they were built this was originally supposed to be a patio and they enclosed it for additional living space. I made it an office which isnt completed yet! I really like these fixtures, but wanted to add one word of caution. Because the decorative links are STEMS rather than chains, "adjusting the length" means using 1 or 2 stems. You are not given that much flexibility in the length. This was hard for us, because we found out that 1 stem made it too high and 2 stems made it too low.
