This is a cute item, for sure, but the price is too high for the level of quality. Silo top was misshapen and would not attach without adjustments, and the holes in the legs were not large enough to allow the bolts to pass through for assembly. I ended up needing to drill larger holes on each leg or there would have been no way to actually attach them. I like the overall design of this chicken feeder and the fact that it has a handle on top for easy transport, caps on the feeder ports to secure the feed overnight, and it's taller than most chicken feeders with it's long slender metal legs. With that said, I gave this feeder 4 stars instead of 5 because after filling it to capacity it became somewhat 'top heavy' with those long slender metal legs. My husband beefed the legs up to prevent the feeder from toppling over - which really made a difference. It's still a great feeder and I would recommend it. This container presents the chickens with an easy way to get feed. I put organic laying pellets on one side and organic scratch feed on the other side. Waste is eliminated by the fact that the birds pick the feed inside the box. They like to peck through the feed while eating. I put this box in the coop so I did not have to protect it from the elements. I did put a piece of plastic on the top because they often roost on it. Cute but not as sturdy as I’d hoped. The boards are not wide so not great in cold winter climates.
