The locksmith came to install the lock and we discovered that two of the four batteries that came with the unit were dead. I called Wayfair's great customer service folks, who are sending out four fresh batteries. Normally this would not be an issue but I have never seen these batteries before. They are CR 123A 3V lithium batteries. In researching these, the internet says the batteries should have a 10-year shelf life, I don't know why they would be dead. The lock seems sturdy and very well made. I have three other keypad locks that take AA batteries and I am constantly replacing them. When I get power on the lock I will update my review.. Brenda. I have opened a large can of diced tomatos and a can of black olives with it so far, and it is just like all the other openers out there-the lid falls off into the food..but really, its not that much of a big deal..I mean this opener cuts like a dream, and I do like the larger easy grip handle/cutter. I would recommend this item for anyobe looking for an easy to use opener. Both the closer and the plastic slide plate are surface-mounted and are easy to install. These closers operate in a pushing-closed manner, rather than in a pulling-closed method, and they do not have a hold-open feature. Distance of travel: The closer arm of this safety spring closer has the ability to swing a full 180 degrees, but once it is mounted in place, the door’s distance of swing will be reduced to the point where it makes contact with the bullet-shaped housing of the closer. For a rust and weather resistant closure, consider Prime-Line parts KC50HD (white) and KC57US (brown) which are suitable for outdoor/exterior use, designed for use with lightweight gates and screen doors. All fasteners and installation instructions are included with this item. Other colors/finishes include: black, white, brown, and chrome plated.
