I purchased my shed in October. Unfortunately with the weather change I could not have it assembled until early April, come to find out the included T lock is defective and does not lock the shed. Because I am past the 30 day product window, I am told there is no resolve from company, so I have to purchase a lock to replace and have handyman return. The product arrives in two long, flat boxes. The packing was sufficient for the most part except for the triangular pieces that are part of the roof. They were dented and scratched, but I didn’t think it was worth my time and trouble to try to have them replaced, so I pounded out the dents with a rubber mallet. The flaws are visible, but not as bad as how they came. Each piece of metal is covered with plastic film that should be removed before assembly, which takes a lot of time and patience, but once removed the metal surfaces are very clean with a good coating. Assembly definitely requires two people and several hours since there are over 300 screws, but once assembled, the structure is very solid. I was impressed with the engineering. All of the screw holes lined up and the instructions/diagrams were easy to follow. I built a wooden deck with 2x6 treated joists and treated plywood for the floor and screwed the base to that. The shed arrived in two securely packaged boxes that were easy for two people to carry to the assembly site. I unpacked everything in order and confirmed that all parts were present and in perfect condition. The directions were clear and concise, and the components fit together exactly as shown. For those planning to build this, I have three recommendations to make the process easier The Overlap Rule 1.The instructions should emphasize leaving the last screw unsecured where panels overlap until the next panel is in place. 2.Elevate Your Work We used backyard tables for subassembly to avoid working on the ground, which saved our backs. 3.Plan Your Exit When installing the roof, work from the inside toward an outer edge. We kept a stepladder inside the shed to reach the top screws for the center pieces. Just make sure your final panel is one of the outside edges so you can finish the last screws from a ladder on the exterior. For the lower screws, I highly recommend using construction knee pads (I picked mine up at the local hardware store), which made the ground-level work much more comfortable. My assembly partner and I finished the entire build in about 5 ½ hours. While a novice might want a bit more detail in certain steps, we found it to be a very straightforward project. Between hard wind and high temperature, the metal doesn't deform, the paint is attached. I was able to anchored it tho the concrete base due to the aluminum mesh that was provided. With two people, the assembly was doable! It did take us longer than anticipated (6+ hours while taking our time). The instructions are a very detailed, which is key honestly. I do wish that more of the finer details were magnified in the instructions. Every piece is light enough for one person lifting. The tools (except for a drill of course, so I recommend having one) are provided, and every piece is clear labeled (screws as well). My only complaint is about the flooring. When using a ladder or wearing hard bottom shoes, some parts began to crack slightly. It's not that big of a deal though adding a mat, foam padding, or wood will do the trick.
