Even though the video killed the radio star, we love the 80s!  A decade of big hair, synth-pop, cassettes, and fashion still influences the runway today. Cheech!  We also love the tech-inspired, slightly gaudy electronics from this period, so we had sweet dreams of creating our take on an 80s entertainment system.  Introducing the sweet child of ours: the Eclipse. The Eclipse is a complete 3-speed turntable audio system right out of the box. Just plug and play your favorite 33 1/3, 45, and 78 RPM vinyl records, cassettes, AM/FM radio stations, and CDs. Because technology has improved a little bit in the past 30 years, you can also play music loaded on an SD card, or thumb drive, and stream your digital music thanks to a built-in Bluetooth receiver. Word!  We even included a remote control for you to use when you're dancing in the dark. Don't have a cow! Of course, you can make mixtapes as well. Needless to say, the Eclipse is butter, baby!

I'm really enjoying this so far. I've got it working with SmartThings which means it's working (okay) with Google Home. All five of my RF fans work with this device. I would say signal is sent to those devices correctly 95% of the time. I have found that if I accidentally misclick, it is better if I count to 10 before making the correct choice. Is it perfect? No. But it is extremely helpful. These are things I was ready for, but some other buyers might not be ready for. This is an RF controlling device. While it makes some devices a little easier to use it does not make those devices "smart". If you have someone who likes to use the remotes a lot, the app will show incorrect settings for those devices that have changed with the remote. This does not bug me, but for someone who is not ready for that, make sure you understand what this device is first. I highly recommend Bond. This is an affordable way to use what you already have. Less devices in the landfill for replacements, and a pretty great way to control my devices from my phone. This thing is extremely deceptive... what I mean is. Its size does not match its weight. The thing is seriously light. Which lends itself to quality issues. The BT option works but will cycle on a loop of connecting if you leave the BT connection screen open. At least that was my experience. Now, the sound is low end PA (high treble) quality sound. The bass is minimal but there. The pre selected equalizer settings are basically useless. The thing is loud, and it is clear all the way into the upper end of the volume. Now I dont know if it is 3k watts of power as advertised. On the box RMS is 10watts. But this world seems confidant with fuzzy maths. Afterall 3000 is way bigger than 10. For the money. Worth it.. That gives it a much cleaner look than many decorative record players I’ve owned in the past. The built-in CD player is also a nice bonus and works very well. Like many all-in-one decorative record players, the built-in speakers leave something to be desired. The sound is perfectly acceptable for casual listening, but it’s not going to satisfy anyone looking for high-fidelity audio. Fortunately, it has outputs that allow me to connect my own powered speakers, and that makes a huge difference in sound quality.
