This is a beautiful desk and very unique. It is incredibly sturdy. It provides a ton of work space without taking up a lot of space since you can tuck one part under the other. It requires minimal assembly. I wasn't impressed with the swivel part of this desk. For such a high quality desk, a wooden dowel holds the tops onto the base. I feel like there should have been more thought put into that. It swivels fine but the bottom desk section has scratches on it already from it rubbing together when you swivel it. It’s a cute vanity and seems well constructed although it did have a very strong chemical smell in the glass cabinet section once it was put together. I paid for the assembly which was a great experience and well worth the extra cost. The Wayfair assembly tech communicated by text before and after the appt, was prompt and had the piece together in 1 hour. I’m certain it would’ve taken me or my husband much, much longer so the time and stress it saved was a win. After the piece was completed, it looked fine, cute actually for my teen’s room but seeing and experiencing the actual functionality was a bit of a let down. The desk portion that sits on topoverlaps on the cabinet portion and isn’t secured in any way so it’s easily moved - whether you want to move it or not. Also the desk portion that overlaps is higher than the cabinet portion which seems obvious now but I somehow didn’t realize that when looking at pictures. Having a surface that’s just slightly different levels is fairly small to begin with is just not ideal for me. Overall it’s fine. Fairly easy to build. I did it all on my own, took about 12hrs however I took several breaks and I was building 2 of these desks. We purchased this as an opened box purchase, I believe the other person may have returned it due to the pieces not being labeled right or not being the correct pieces.
