I'm not yet sure how well my new grow lights are going to help my plants and I wasn't at all happy to learn that they have to be plugged in to work since nothing in the description or photos shows a cord, but they are easy to use and very convenient in less-than-convenient locations. There is also a timer, tho the control is so tiny that it is difficult to read. After using it just one day, I noticed my succulent reaching upward, toward the light, which generally means that it is not enough light, but I moved the light closer to the plant and that seems to have helped. I purchased 2 of these lights for the nightstands in our bedroom. They are of very high quality and are exactly what we were looking for. We love the brightness and color temperature settings, as we use them for reading. The big selling point for us was the 26.5" long gooseneck arm. It is long enough to reach over the reading material and can be twisted into any position. Even when fully extended, the arm does not tip the light over due to the weighted base.
