The locksmith came to install the lock and we discovered that two of the four batteries that came with the unit were dead. I called Wayfair's great customer service folks, who are sending out four fresh batteries. Normally this would not be an issue but I have never seen these batteries before. They are CR 123A 3V lithium batteries. In researching these, the internet says the batteries should have a 10-year shelf life, I don't know why they would be dead. The lock seems sturdy and very well made. I have three other keypad locks that take AA batteries and I am constantly replacing them. When I get power on the lock I will update my review.. Brenda. Once upon I time I could sharpen my knifes to razor sharpness by hand. Decades later my hands are no longer steady enough to do that. I spent 10 minutes reading the instructions and then ten minutes getting two 8" knives sharper than I could do it by hand. After using it a few more times I'll be able to get a knife sharp in under a minute. Seriously, I think I'll be able to sharpen a knife as fast as a professional chef does with one of their sharpening rods.
