Looks great, feels great, and it was fairly easy to put together. The instructions may not be the best for someone that’s not really handy. It took me about 6 hours to include bringing in the boxes, opening them all and tearing them all down, tying up the boxes. and then assembling the bed. Relatively easy install, just took time. Solid construction. There is a metal bar that runs under top bunk, that I purchased pipe foam insulation to cover it as I knew it was just a matter of time before a child hit there head really hard on it. While solid wood, it does indent/mark easily, I have two rambunctious boys who quickly put multiple dents in it and cracked the wood where the ladder attaches by pulling up on the ladder, but probably sonething similar would happen with any bed that we got!. Excellent quality, super sturdy and very easy to assemble!!! My boys ages 11 and 9 helped me (their mom) build it in just a few hours! It’s sturdy enough that I am able to lay in the top bunk with my 11yr old and it holds up great, my husband is 300lb and lays on the bottom bunk with our 9yr old with no issues! Very solid! And we love the pull out trundle twin size bed for when they have their cousins or friends over! We currently have our nugget play couch on the trundle rather than a mattress, but will be getting a mattress for it. The only complaint I have is that it came with absolutely no extra hardware incase a piece is broken or gets lost during set up, not a single extra bolt, screw or wooden dowel, but otherwise we are very happy with this purchase!!. This is very sturdy and well-built. It took my husband about 3 hours to assemble it himself (he is very into this kind of thing so it might take others a little longer). I love the bed feels sturdy and the kids love it. I do not like the stairs to straight, a complete scary death trap, scary trying to get down. So no little ones up there. I was not happy about shipping especially when I paid extra for it to arrive fast. Wayfair was responsive on helping me solve the issues so communication was on point. This bed has suited our family's needs well, so far. It seems pretty sturdy, isn't too high so I'm not concerned when my 3 year old climbs up. My 5 year old is on the lower bunk and can sit up without hitting her head. The slats on the bottom bunk allow the mattress to be elevated off of the floor. The reason I gave it 4 stars was for assembly. While I found the directions clear, there were two items mislabeled and I did not realize until I was halfway through construction. I had to completely disassemble to fix the issue. So I would recommend double checking the hole placements in the photos along with the labels on each piece to confirm that you are using the correct piece at each step. Another issue that I had was one screw broke during assembly, another has broken off since, and there was 1 screw missing. The bed turned out in the end and we're happy with it. This is a strong well made bunk bed. I wish they put extra screws though becase a few broke and I had to improvise. My boys love it and that was the dream. It is a build so prepare, it took about 6 hours to complete it looks great. Seems solid and looks as expected. It was somewhat scratched and marked up out of the box and I don't think it was due to shipping or packaging. It was packaged well and the boxes were not damaged.
