For the price of $809 and free shipping this was worth it for me. Having said that, there are issues. The ash drops through a chute BEHIND and underneath the unit. I have not figured out what can be put back there to collect ashes. It will have to be a wide short metal bucket of some type. I think this should have been mentioned and provided or be for optional order. Then there is the ridiculous excuse for an owners/instruction manual. How hard would it have been to expand that just a little...for instance...I do not know what the lever in front underneath the firebox is for...I assume for dropping ash.......then there is the problem of .....is the back position closing up the ash drop, or is the forward position that causes ash to drop? The unit was built in November of 2025 and arrived Dec 15, 2025 but all that notes that on the metal sheet from the back is a dimple in a box, and for the model number. I might have bought a different make of wood stove had I known all the above for $100 more plus the separate purchase of a blower....and all of them seemed to be out of stock. I LOVE this electric faux fireplace. Im still working on my tile surround, but the 24 gray fireplace fits perfectly. Ill have to build something to hide the cord as I finish the faux mantlesurround. The flame and embers have multiple separate settings, i.e., speed, color, and dimmer. The heater is also controlled by the remote. When the heater is on, the bar at the top glows [see 2nd photo], which is good, so you know the heat is on. Plus, there is a timer accessed by the remote for up to several hours. I actually cant think of anything else you could ask for. I was worried that the case would be shiny, and it is, but that is not a negative. It will make it easy to dust.
