Perfect, perfect, perfect! This light is in a room 13' x 13' with 9' ceilings, over a queen sized bed. It's fantastic. I have 40 watt bulbs in the fixture. It is not on a dimmer. It casts a lovely warm light throughout the room. It's not bright-white reading/task light, but I didn't want that. I wanted useful but calm mood lighting. These bulbs with this fixture would be absolutely perfect over a dining table. If you used 60 or 100 watt bulbs it would be quite bright. Apologies for the poor photography - it's tough to photograph bare bulbs! Highly customizable, each pendant (4 large + 5 small) is suspended via low-voltage cable from its round canopy. A thick, clear layer of glass is encased in an outer cocoon of hand-blown, colored glass. The lower portion of the outer layer of glass is removed by hand-polishing it, revealing the inner clear layer below.
