It’s exactly what we wanted. Just a heads up, it's medium height, not a tall bookcase. We have a low TV stand with a 65" TV on it, and putting this next to it makes them about the same height. The finish is pretty much what you’d expect for the price, super balanced. It definitely has some character. The lights are magnetic and USB-rechargeable, so you don't have to worry about running a cord from the unit to an outlet. The inside shelves are adjustable. I’d recommend going with Wayfair Pro for the assembly; it’s not impossible to do it yourself, but it’s a long process and you'll need two people at some point. No issues with the assembly - instruction booklet was detailed, all of the parts were separated into labeled bags so it was easy to put together. Took my teenage daughter and I about two hours, but it was her first time putting together furniture, and she was very meticulous (she loved legos as a kid so this was the perfect adult-ish project for her)! It’s helpful to have a regular screwdriver and an electric screwdriver, as a few of the screws were a bit long. Love the look of the cabinet. Assembly was mostly easy minus the arch. Being that is the main selling point of the cabinet, I was expecting an easier install. But shout out to the seller for quickly shipping some replacement parts. My recommendations for the arch part: The flat panel will not easily slide through the groves as indicated in the instructions. My suggestion is to bend the panel in the shape of the arch and place in between 2 heavy surfaces for 1 day. This will make the panel much easier to position into the grooves. Also deviate from the instructions. Sliding the panel through the groove will damage the attached boards, as everything is cheap veneer. My recommendation are to deviate a bit from the instructions. 1. Curve the arch panel and place between 2 heavy objects and leave overnight. The panel should then be close to it's final shape. Don't bend too much, as you will break it! 2. Connect parts #5 to the 1st grooved wood arch piece. REVERSE the #5s so that the large holes point down, rather than up. This made accessing the holes possible to secure the parts later. 3. Place the arch wood flat on the ground with the attached #5 pieces connected and pointing up. Feed the panel into the groove. 4. Place the 2nd arched wood piece on top of the panel, and feed the curved panel into it's groove. As you secure one side of the panel into top & bottom grooves, secure the #5 beams on both sides. 5. Install the other wood beam parts at both ends of the arch to fully secure everything together. 6. Cover the #5 screws with the wood stickers to cover then. You need to be careful and not apply too much pressure with the last 3 steps, otherwise, things will break. I did need to use epoxy to fix a few breaks. I haven’t styled the bookcase yet, but am pleased with the look. Delivery had me nervous the end of the box was open and I just knew there would be broken or missing pieces. However, there was no damage to the piece. I put this together myself in about two hours. The directions were clear and easy to follow. The most difficult step is bending the arch piece and keeping it in place while installing the cover piece. I’m sure that part would have been easier with someone helping. Hardware intact and included. My hubby recommends a drill and a screwdriver because the ones in the kit were not user friendly or strong enough for the job of putting it together. You are provided with stickers to cover the nail holes so it matches with the cabinet grain. The second shelf has notches where it will sit to prevent any movement. You will need at least 8 feet clearance to assemble the cabinet when you need to lay it down flat. You will also need at least 2 people to screw on the glass doors to each side. It is a beautiful piece. The directions with the count process helped a lot. I rated a 4 / 5 because the arch was very difficult for me. I would suggest the assembly be done by two people.
