The locksmith came to install the lock and we discovered that two of the four batteries that came with the unit were dead. I called Wayfair's great customer service folks, who are sending out four fresh batteries. Normally this would not be an issue but I have never seen these batteries before. They are CR 123A 3V lithium batteries. In researching these, the internet says the batteries should have a 10-year shelf life, I don't know why they would be dead. The lock seems sturdy and very well made. I have three other keypad locks that take AA batteries and I am constantly replacing them. When I get power on the lock I will update my review.. Brenda. We have several birdfy feeders now around our house. So far this one has been great - the camera is clear & picks up movement just like the others do, and the reservoir holds a good amount of nectar for whoever wants to stop by. That being said, some improvements it could use: - the unit is light enough that hanging it as it is will allow it to blow around in a strong enough wind. We'll probably put a 4x4 post in the ground and velcro the feeder to the top of the post. For future iterations of this they may want to go with a different support system. - it states that it's ant-resistant. We haven't had any big ants end up in the nectar, but I have had some smaller ants drown, so it should probably get a few improvements in that area All in all, we're happy with our purchase.
