Sturdy is an understatement….just a warning, pay attention to the tiny stickers that are numered and lettered as the leg stickers should match up precisely with the bench stickers on each side. Lovely, well made bench. I like that the back is slightly curved which is great for lumbar support. I wish the depth of the seat was a little bit greater. From back to front it measures 17.5 inches, which feels a little shallow even for me at 5'4" tall. I also wish the back was leaned back at a slight angle versus being straight up & down.
