We replaced the original cover because it had grown algae in the seams despite our best efforts to keep them clean. At first, we weren’t sure because it is SO much lighter than the original cover that we doubted it would hold up to severe winds, let alone milder weather, keep its temp but it absolutely does! Very efficient controller. Have only had it in place for about 2 months so time will tell, but it's working great so far. The only thing I wasn't clear on was that it will only work for one faucet.
