I am very pleased with this little angel. She arrived on time and was packed well in Styrofoam. I was pleased that the figurine was a bit larger than I expected, measuring approximately 8inches tall. Upon taking her out of the packaging, she lit up. Both wings glow, and a single bright light shines just below where her hands meet. It is my observation that the center led in the center could have been placed just about a half inch higher, but the placement leads me to believe she was meant to be looked down on, because when viewing her closer to eye level, the light is rather stark. Throughout the ages angels appear in many different spiritual beliefs, as guides on the path of life, messengers and protectors. French portrait painter, Gabriel Ferrier was considered an Academic, symbolic, Orientalist and romantic painter; he studied in Paris, Rome and Algeria, taught at the Academie Julian, won the Prix de Rome and in 1906 was elected to the Academie des Beaux-Arts and a knight in the Legion of Honneur. The authentic stretched canvas replica painting captures the original work's texture, depth of color, and even its subtle brushstrokes, which are applied by hand.
