I have very thick wavy hair so sometimes it's hard to find something that works effectively for me. This straightener is nice because it definitely adds shine and helps with frizz. The ceramic plates definitely make a difference. There are five settings and I use setting four, but don't feel like I'm damaging my hair doing so.
