The optional griddle is one accessory that is a must have. It is a direct replacement for the grate so it will fit with all Kenyon electric grills. For Texan owners, this means you can have one side for grilling, and one side with a griddle, or both sides with a griddle. This cast aluminum griddle is coated with the longest lasting non stick coating available and is the best way to prepare breakfast or anything else that requires a flat surface. To clean, simply take a wet paper towel and a set of tongs after you have finished using and wipe across to loosen any remnants, if that is not enough, after the griddle has cooled it can be placed in the dishwasher and will look like new every time.

The griddle is a nice add on but since it's small like the grill it's hard to cook a lot of stuff on it like pancakes. I have to make a batch and put in the oven for warming. I will say the pancakes came out excellent but probably the same as a cheap electric griddle. I'd recommend getting the griddle but it's quite expensive for what it is.
