This window ac unit does everything it should. Its small but mighty. I have it in a smaller bedroom and it cools it down very quickly! The lowest temp is 61 as a timer and all the basic features that a window unit usually comes with. You can turn the display off the lights in the display with the remote or you can leave it on. The display is very clear to read. I know its more of a personal preference, but I like how the remote is kind of bulky and a nice size. I always lose smaller things so I appreciate the size of the remote. The installation is what you would expect with any window AC unit. Nothing special. We did have a smaller window a/c unit that was just ok, but this one is a game-changer! It has a/c AND heat! Year-round comfort! It’s powerful enough to cool our entire garage (and we live in the South-so it definitely has its work cut out for it). The heater doesn’t exactly heat the whole room when it’s super cold out, but it definitely takes the chill out of the air and warms it sufficiently to make it possible to use the room in winter. We love it! The remote is handy and the timer feature is awesome. It is well-made and the as easy to install. We had to order a sleeve to slide it into, but it was very simple. We've put it on the wall and powered it up and everything seems to be working as it should. I haven't yet measured the surface temperature of the panels but my "touch test" suggests it's at or close to the 158 degree advertised temperature. It also seems solidly built, so I feel confident it will hold up over time. Standard bath towels, first folded in half, fit pretty well, although they hang just a touch over the end. We also did a "hardwired" installation, with the wire running behind the wall to the junction box. This involves a little extra work, including cutting off the plug and stripping the wires, but it provides a "cleaner" look and in my view is worth the effort. My one modest complaint is that the wall anchors that are included don't feel sufficient for long-term hold, particularly on the 4-bar model. I strongly suggest that you find a stud for mounting, and use "wing" style anchors where a stud is not available. This is what we did and it now feels quite solid.
