If there's one thing that causes us to pull our hair out, it's a dimly lit vanity. There's nothing worse than getting ready, only to catch a glimpse of yourself and realize you look like you put yourself together in the dark (because you did). Measuring 47.75'' W, it can work both for single and double vanities and is reversible.

Provides plenty of light and very attractive but one of the lights (2nd from L) was slightly bent and we could not straighten w/o denting base plate. There was also a dent on the base plate which necessitated orienting it with lamps facing up (although that was the original plan). I laughed when I read another reviewer say they kept a product because they couldn't figure out how to get it back in the box...but I have to agree! The packaging was crazy. Inspired by a family photo of a Moroccan wedding dress (El-Keswa El-Kbira) this piece is a work years in the making. Engraved in my mind I knew that one day I would incorporate this personal iconic image in my art. My goal was to express the multitude of feelings and memories the dress evokes for me as well a sense of respect and dignity for my heritage. This image represents Moroccan beauty and a culture rich in customs and history. Legacy captures a sense of growing-up in Israel at a time when intra-Jewish racism was escalating and my family's roots needed to be suppressed, and nearly erased for the price of assimilation. After years of living in NYC do I fully understand the importance of celebrating one's authentic heritage, Legacy helped me explore this important question.

Story behind the art for centuries Tibetans have used rugs for decorative and functional purposes, drawing upon geometric patterns, auspicious symbols, real and mythical animals, and natural imagery to create beautiful, colorful designs. But it was only after 1959 with the Chinese invasion of Tibet and the growth of Tibetan diaspora in Nepal and Tibet that Tibetan rug weaving underwent a crucial commercial revival. In the 1970s, Tibetan rugs rose to prominence and Nepalese artisans, drafted in to keep up with the rising demand, became the mainstay of the Tibetan rug weaving traditions.
