There are little legs on the bottoms of each corner hardware, with a little rubber foot. The is nice because the glass itself is setting up (and not on) the mantel surface. I have only had 1 burn with my new propane fire pit so far. I mainly bought them for the aesthetics vs lava rock. It doesn’t take much to look better than lava rocks. Pictures and description are the black lava rocks, which is what we wanted. The name says glass, but these are rocks NOT glass. Plenty of small black lava rocks for our fire pit from The Outdoor GreatRoomPolywood. Didn’t even need to use the entire bag. So 1 bag is enough. This arrived well packaged with no issues. It is heavy duty. Its made up of 4 glass panels with corner connectors you attach yourself using a Philips screwdriver. There are heat resistant feet that hold it up about an inch for an air gap needed by the burners. I would not use my firepit without it since it protects those sitting near from the flames blowing their direction, or being blow out.
