I was concerned about wobbling and squeaking, but it was sturdier than I expected. I tested the top bunk myself (I weigh about 180 lbs). It also looks nice. My 14 and 11-year-old girls love it. I did use my own right-sized rubber washers for non-critical bolt connections. I also used Bunkie Boards on the slats to spread the weight, minimize further squeaking/sounds and protect the mattresses. They can't wait to decorate it with different stuff. No regrets so far..
