I just purchased 2 sets of this Caphalon Cookware as gifts for my daughters. I have owned the same set for over 17 years and it is still going strong! Caphalon sells 2 space saver sets (a lower priced version and this set which is almost double the price). The difference is on the handle of each lid. The lower price version has a rubber handle that is not suitable for use in the oven. The lids on this (higher end) set have metal handles and can be used in the oven. Keep that in mind if you are considering the lower priced set as it is not as versatile. I love to cook and this has been my favorite set of cookware ever! Loving this pan so far. Have used for 3 months and it has kept the non stick well. It is heavier but I like that it is aluminum free and ceramic for better food safety from toxic chemicals in other non stick. Cooks nice and evenly as well. This is a very small pan, which is exactly what I wanted. My go to pan was Farberware, and it is over 20 years old, horrible condition as it will not even fry an egg without sticking now. We are great cooks in this house and somehow we can still make our old pans work. BUT....This Viking pan is next level amazing. I see why its so expensive. It is heavy like a cast iron pan and I love love love that!! I cooked an egg in it without using any oil. Now I am obsessing and want a whole set. I just have to figure out a way to explain to my husband why we need 600 pots and pans lol. Maybe I can compare my pots and pans to some of those high end tools he has in the garage lol.
