Absolutely not copper. The first pic is what I received (a second time after returning the first) and the second is what they are saying is Antiqued copper (disassembled image from the manufacturer on the multicolor background). Suggest mounting it into a stud or installing blocking in the wall behind if possible because it sticks out far enough that a kid pulling on it or an adult using it to brace themselves could lead to major drywall damage..
