We power washed our outdoor rug in the spring and it cleaned up well and didn't have ANY issues with break down of the material - it's durability is making us very happy with this purchase. The only negative was our larger one came with a small fabric flaw, (a little fabric stitch bunched up likely in the making of it) but it's so small we didn't care and just left it alone and it hasn't gotten worse or been an issue.
