I had a ge microwave already. This was basically the newest version. Be careful. The mount bracket is a little different and the top screws are in a different spot. I love that ZLINE included a black handle option in case I ever want to swap out the champagne bronze, although I honestly don’t see myself doing that since the brushed gold look is stunning. Installation was straightforward—it only required an outlet behind it, and I chose not to use a GFI outlet since the microwave is in my island without a sink nearby. The main reason I selected this model is because it doubles as a convection oven. It’s incredibly convenient to have a second oven in the kitchen for holidays or entertaining. The broil feature works well for crisping food, though I do wish there was an air fry setting. Preheating takes about 15 minutes, which I find a little slow, but the cooking results are excellent. It doesn’t have the push-button drawer feature some microwaves include, but that’s one less part to break down the road.
