We were very surprised at the quality, especially for the price. You can't buy the wood for what this pen cost. Assembly was also fairly easy ; it only took a couple of hours and our little Silkies {bantam chickens with white feathers that look like hair, black skin, and five toes} were all settled in. After just a few months the floor had rotted out, the doors warped and no longer closed securely, and the staples holding the screens started popping out and several of the birds got out and were killed by the neighbor's dog. It's a decent cage but came with some screws that were not really ideal for putting it together. Also instructions were a little vague but not too hard to figure out and takes longer than 45 minutes to put together even with 2 people even using a power drill. Also power drill is a must since they only made holes on one side of it to put together. Also, there could of been better attachment pieces for the top and bottom without having to add locks on it. Well this is now called the quainsion, since we have three button quail living in this little mansion. It was not difficult to put together. My fiance would have but he was sick so I struggled through it and I can't even nail in a nail straight. Lol he did put some waterproofing on it so it will last longer, and for quail, he put a second latching mechanism so it will be difficult for raccoons to get in. We also put a bottom on it since it is attached off the ground between trees. It's working out great and it was so inexpensive compared to anything at atwoods or tractor supply. Lisa. Claremore, OK.
