Well this is now called the quainsion, since we have three button quail living in this little mansion. It was not difficult to put together. My fiance would have but he was sick so I struggled through it and I can't even nail in a nail straight. Lol he did put some waterproofing on it so it will last longer, and for quail, he put a second latching mechanism so it will be difficult for raccoons to get in. My 12 year old son and I had no problem assembling this in about an hour. I the wood is not as thick/sturdy as I had hoped. I think it will be excellent for our first 4 chickens. It looks nice and is perfect for what I need! But the screws for the box need to be longer. I had two come out within minutes of putting them in. My two kitties love their new space! We have two 9 months old kitties that we rescued when they were 3 12 weeks old. They are indoor cats but we wanted to give them a safe sanctuary when are not home. I put the structure together myself and it probably would have gone quicker if I had help but I took my time and the instructions were easy enough to follow. The wood is strong enough for indoor but I don’t think it would last long outside in the elements. I didn’t use the roofing material that came with it since I have it inside the house. I added mesh wiring instead. The enclosure is 3 sided and backs up to the wall which works perfectly fine in our case as it gives us access to open and close our windows and shutters.. Arb65. Ca-usa.
