The compact feature of this unit is great and it did not produce any notable scent and some brands do. Just without the ozone I have seen a difference in air quality. However, my friend who is a non smoker could still smell cigarette smoke so I will put the ozone on 1 or 2 as ozone can be dangerous to people, pets, and plants. I can’t really tell the difference, but from the moment it first turned on it stayed blue so maybe my air quality wasn’t very bad. I will say it would be much more convenient if this unit had a handle.
