Shed went together easily, with decent directions. I understand why the metal is covered with plastic to protect during shipping, but it peels and looks bad in time. We've had ours up for 2 winters now in Vermont, and no damage, doors and latches still work. I recommend setting this up on 2 pallets with plywood attached on top if it isn't going on a hard level surface. Tolerances are tight, and you will be happier with the result if it's on a perfectly level surface. Too bad about the peeling plastic, as it's a good looking shed for the money. Unfortunately we live in Minnesota and it has not been weather to be putting up an outside shed. My husband has decided to haul the boxes over to his shop and put it together over there and then put it on a large trailer and haul it back to our home. He read the instruction manual - it was more like a book but the instructions seemed quite good! We opened the box and the color of the shed seems to be exactly as pictured. I'm anxious to see the shed when it's all put together. I will post a picture of it when it's all set up. Major storm here so it will have to stay in the shed for several more days! My husband put it together in 2 days - not working all day but it till took several house. He was very pleased at how easy it was to assemble! Everything was vey clearly marked and all the parts and pieces were in the box! It is a very nice looking shed and seems very spacious inside. The shed arrived in two securely packaged boxes that were easy for two people to carry to the assembly site. I unpacked everything in order and confirmed that all parts were present and in perfect condition. The directions were clear and concise, and the components fit together exactly as shown. For those planning to build this, I have three recommendations to make the process easier The Overlap Rule 1.The instructions should emphasize leaving the last screw unsecured where panels overlap until the next panel is in place. 2.Elevate Your Work We used backyard tables for subassembly to avoid working on the ground, which saved our backs. 3.Plan Your Exit When installing the roof, work from the inside toward an outer edge. We kept a stepladder inside the shed to reach the top screws for the center pieces. Just make sure your final panel is one of the outside edges so you can finish the last screws from a ladder on the exterior. For the lower screws, I highly recommend using construction knee pads (I picked mine up at the local hardware store), which made the ground-level work much more comfortable. My assembly partner and I finished the entire build in about 5 ½ hours. While a novice might want a bit more detail in certain steps, we found it to be a very straightforward project.
