We just had it installed yesterday. Recommend that you get a print out of the specifications and the installation. From what I was able to read in Wayfare’s description section, we would be able to install the unit flush with the ceiling. And unfortunately, because I didn’t have printed specifications we had to drop down the unit a foot from the ceiling. Not the inconspicuous flush mount unit and I was hoping for. According to my contractor, this was a very complicated unit to install. To be fair this is a relatively new category of range top hoods that are being offered. Pleased with the noise level, but have yet to cook with it. Read reviews from other previous purchasers, and a common statement was how small the remote controller was. I love the different settings and precision.You can get a very controlled flame and it makes carmelizing onions (even small batches) a breeze. I was on the fence about going from a 30-inch range to a 48, but now I love the extra burners. It's nice having the extra oven when you are making dishes that require different temperatures. If I want to keep my roast going low and slow and pop in some rolls or cookies I can. One downside is that the knobs have little ridges around the entire side and are a pain to clean. Also the electric plug is not flush mounted like most large appliances, it goes straight back. This forces the stove to be out even further than anticipated.
