These chairs are made from high-density polyethylene (HDPE), a plastic made from recycled materials. Its dense, waterproof, and UV. resistant. So far, so good! I thought they were folding Adirondacks and clearly they are not, but that’s “on me”! They were easy to assemble, but it would be much easier with a helper…I assembled them by myself. Some of the pieces have to be held awkwardly when inserting the screws and bolts. My only issue was one of the “bolts and screws” packages tore open prior to opening the box, and those items fell everywhere. I luckily found each one, which was a big deal since there were no extras. (Suggestion to the manufacturer) Quality seems to be as good as the ones I’d purchased from another manufacturer for a much higher price. I bought 4 to complete the area around our firepit.. Renee. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this Adirondack chair! It was very easy to assemble, It comes with an Allen wrench and all the screws. The instructions are super simple. The color is beautiful, I opted for the grey slate and the material is ideal for outside. It also can recline and I assembled this by myself so you do not have to be mechanically inclined. Just have about 30 minutes to assemble. I think this is a great addition to my garden and hope everyone finds it as awesome as I do. Also it’s comfortable to sit in, i do plan to add a cushion but I don’t think it’s necessary but this exactly where I will be all Summer and lemonade in hand. AWESOME PRODUCT GOLD STAR!!!. William.
