We needed a living room rug that would blend in with our floral chairs and accent the room nicely. We like rugs with thicker piles. This rug worked perfectly. The colors are muted enough to not fight with our chairs. It is a bit more yellowish than the picture showed but it works for us. The carpet layer smooth from the beginning. I recently painted our hallway a spruce/juniper color. While I Iove the color of the walls after two weeks of looking I couldn't find a rug that would complement the walls.
