My husband was able to do most of the installation. It was relatively easy to install the unit on the wall with parts that are included, we only had a certified electrician do the the connection and final install of the unit. This window ac unit does everything it should. Its small but mighty. I have it in a smaller bedroom and it cools it down very quickly! The lowest temp is 61 as a timer and all the basic features that a window unit usually comes with. You can turn the display off the lights in the display with the remote or you can leave it on. The display is very clear to read. I know its more of a personal preference, but I like how the remote is kind of bulky and a nice size. I always lose smaller things so I appreciate the size of the remote. The installation is what you would expect with any window AC unit. Nothing special. Were remodeling a house and the original air conditioning system was slightly undersized both in the kitchenutility and the living room. They were always either too hot or cold with not enough airflow. The current AC condenser is a 2-ton which is a little undersized for this home, but still fairly new, 5 or 6 years. We chose to keep the current AC and purchased this two head mini split. Its a perfect solution for our problem. Very easy to install. My husband installed it with a little help from me. This is a perfect solution for those DIYers. It came with the template and wonderful instructions and all the accessories, line set and wiring and remotes for each head.
