Fit the vintage tub I picked up from a scrap yard and repainted which had a 4 inch spread. I would have preferred one that was fitted specifically for a 4 in spread, because the mechanism that allows it to be adjustable also makes it a bit bulky, but the price for all the components together couldn't be beat. I think my plumber may have added the plastic nuts for the bolts, not sure those are the ones it came with, which detract from the look, but its in the back. Overall I am very happy with this.. I've been searching for months for a shower kit for our 1920 clawfoot tub. The reviews of the big box supply stores were awful so I had to order sight-unseen from the internet in order to find an affordable option. The ceramic disc cartridge is the heart of the faucet, controlling its temperature and water flow. Internally, two opposing discs made out of ceramic carbide rotate to control the flow of water. Because ceramic carbide is impervious to friction, it can last for many years before needing replacement. Solid brass body and stem with 3/8" x 16PT teeth on spline count for the handle. The cartridge thread size is 1/2-14 NPSM. Featuring an M24 x 1.0 threaded collar, and a rubber O ring at the bottom.
