The gauge of the steel is stronger than my old post. Of 25 years. I think the bottom joke should be lower and have a grommet for wire protection it is a challenge to get wiring for outlet and photo sensor and power feed and fixture. Luckily a 3 inch pipe makes it. The cross bar is way too loose in pole holes and is plastic, used to be a good fit metal. Try and get silicone neatly around it to hold in place. My only issue with the actual order was that some screws were missing. I did put in for them to be replaced and I received parts for a different item. I will just have to run to a supply store.. Very tall and nice looking post. I was shocked by the exterior shell material, I expected it to be a bit thicker but instead it was thinner plastic. The inside post was heavy duty. Surprisingly, good quality for the price. I love the height of it. Unfortunately, Wayfair’s reputation for delivery is always hit or miss. This delivery was no exception. I always seem to have a damaged box and I expected that there may have been scratches to the post however I got lucky. The quality of the post was quite good and screwed together quite nicely I already had an existing cement foundation for it so I just had to attach to the standard 8 x 8“ mounting brackets. The light was relatively simple to put together and install it was perfect to replace our old pole light. The two bulb feature puts out the perfect amount of light and the dusk to dawn sensor is in a nice easy spot and sure to save money operating only when needed. Really happy with my purchase of this solar lantern. I love that you can choose from 3 light settings. I have mine on warm light. The two others are cool white and bright white. This gives off a nice glow at the end of my driveway at night. If you are looking for an overly bright illuminating light, I don't think this is for you.
