It was easy to add this fan to a location where a porch light was no longer needed. I purchased a 3 way switch and connected inside so that we can change the speed with a wall switch. I did not add any additional wiring, so it does not oscillate. However, it is mounted in a 9x9 ft space, so that is not a problem. It is very comparable in sound and pressure to the same desk top fan that I use in my bedroom. This is a fan AND a light. Not sure how I missed that! Remote works great. The LED light adjusts from dim to VERY bright. Would work well for influencers’ back lighting. The fan is spectacular. This is just so cool - the only reason for taking off a star is that the rod it comes with is way too long.
