The assembly took two of us right around 15 or 20 minutes. The back and seat is a wood composite material and not metal which I was happy to discover. The only thing I don’t love about them is that the screw backs are visible on the seat back. The way I have them pleased. I don’t really see the seatbacks but honestly, it’s something that would bother me if I was looking at the seatbacks. These were easy to put together. The were fairly comfortable to sit on.
