I've looked for a sautee pan for a very long time. They're more common in Middle Eastern cooking and I just couldn't find the right stuff. While this braiser pan isn't officially a satuee pan, it does the work beautifully. The food comes out cooked evenly and I can use my metal utensils with no fear. Excellent pan. Unlike many other pans this one has the aluminum all the way up the sides rather than just on the bottom.
