I didnt pay attention to the description and had no idea it was metal with a cover. Came in a small tall box and is about 30 lbs to lift. There are ALOT of pieces to put together. There were a few screws that would not fit the holes for some reason (too large for the holes), but I had some here that worked thankfully. Took a couple hours to assemble myself. It feels sturdy and I like that its covered but I may get a bed skirt or something. I have it sitting on top of bed boards so I hope it will be ok long term and that it wont squeak. Easy to put together. Very sturdy. There are screws heads in the bed frame in 3 places down the middle of the frame and the center piece of the foundation sits on the screw heads. So it doesn’t fit flat on the frame. Either the makers of the bed or the foundation need to accommodate this space for the screw heads.
