9 In Casement Operator

This is a casement operator track that is riveted or screwed onto the bottom of a steel casement window. It fits the older style casement operators Prime–Line parts H 3500 through H 3523, and H 3581 through H 3588. The guide disc on the tip of the operator glides through the track to open or close the window.

These fully assembled screens are constructed of white aluminum frame, plastic corners and glide brackets with gray fiberglass mesh. For aesthetic purposes, some only use these screens seasonally, as they prefer to not have permanently affixed screens on their windows. These screens are used horizontally with vertical sliding windows, and vertically on horizontal sliding windows. When using these expandable screens horizontally, the width can adjust from 20-1/8 inch to 37-3/16 inch. When using the screens vertically, the net width is 18-3/16 inch, and the height can adjust from 20-1/8 inch tall to 37-3/16 inch. These screens are easy to install and are commonly used as temporary screening when exterior temperatures allow. These screens are used to help block out flying and crawling insects when ventilation through open windows is desired. This is an older style of casement lock painted antique brass on zinc diecast and used on older style wood casement windows. The three different keepers allow for most mounting applications whether it be a swing in or swing out casement window. Installation screws are included. Besides being used on casement windows, it is often used on cupboards and cabinets for that Retro look.

When selecting the correct hinge compare the length of the mounting bracket with the length of the bracket from the window hinge to be replaced. This is a non-handed casement locking handle in an attractive finish with mounting holes 2-3/8 inch on center. This is a universal design and the handle is made of a diecast construction with the handle hanging straight down and used by a variety of aluminum and steel windows. The gap between the face plate and hook latch is 5/16 inch. In addition, there is a 3/16 inch security hole that allows and additional locking pin to be passed through the hole and lock in place with the 1/8 inch Prime-Line part S 4071 security pin (sold separately).

Aluminum

This is a left-handed diecast casement locking handle with an offset base found on many contemporary casement windows (as viewed for the inside looking out). The mounting holes are positioned offset of the centerline down the base placing them closer to the window frame edge by 13/16 inch from the tip of the lock to the center of the mounting holes. This handle has an attractive finish with mounting holes for the handle assembly and the keeper at 1-1/2 inch apart.

The lever operates a steel latch within the housing that engages the keeper on the opposite side. For left-handed lock use Prime-Line part H 3573.
