Well the product itself is okay-ish. It looks decent for fake wood look and the pattern doesn’t repeat in the box of six planks. It fits together perfectly and with ease. There is a slight strip of discoloration along the edges on some planks. The color is a very muted unsaturated brown. One plank was damaged in shipping right in the middle of the also the bigger issue is that the rest of the boxes I ordered to complete the project are back ordered for six months. I was really disappointed to find that this bed isn't truly waterproof... I ordered it to donate to a foster program, and thought it would be perfect for new kittens/puppies and their mothers - they can be pretty messy. :( The outer nylon cover is absolutely waterproof and as heavy and chew-resistant as described, but I dribbled water on the furry mattress cover and found that the interior was damp after a minute. I still rate it high though, and recommend it. I'll tell them to use pee-pads over the mattress and it'll work well. It's very well made from nice materials. The mattress is stiff enough to not crush over time, but is also very supportive and comfortable. The side rails are stiff enough to stay upright and not sag under a heavy head. The non- skid bottom is actually "tacky" enough to really be non-skid. All of those qualities make it a better bed than most. Gerber isnt as well-known a brand as some others, but when I was shopping for fixtures for a full bathroom, it was carried by a local, highly-respected plumbing supply store, and I wound up choosing them for their design. Now that Im redoing the kitchen, I especially looked for their options. Im glad I did, because it looks great. Its a tad shorter than other similar options, which is a good thing for my application.
