Arrived two days ago. I paid to have it dropped directly onto my concrete pad. Got electrical hooked up yesterday, filled it up last night, got in it this morning. The good stuff: It looks good, should be very reliable given how simple it is, and was a great price. The not-so-good stuff: They sent me the wrong color, the ozonator was broken upon arrival, the drain connection is tucked back under the tub and has no shutoff valve, the jets control is just one button but still manages to be confusing. But, at the end of the day, I just want some hot water, with jets, and not have it die every six months. So, I'm mostly a happy customer. Update: Just a heads-up, exactly where the cover lift arm attaches, there's a vertical strap in the way (see my photo). Beautiful Crucible knob is an easy way to elevate any piece. I have it here replacing a signature gold tone stainless steel knob on my deep teal Dutch oven. The knob feels substantial and makes it easier to grip the lid. I have attached photos comparing the before-after. Received this loaf pan to replace my tired aluminum spring form cake pan that was starting to fall apart after years of use. This one is made of sturdy cast iron that will last a lifetime. No metal utensils only silicone ones will keep the inner lining scratch free. Planning in making smaller sized lasagnas. Bread pudding, banana bread and brownies for the family and keto versions of these treats for myself. Everything bakes beautifully in this and releases very easily. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Took a step up from the 30" electric back in the fall of 2023, and have not regretted the money spent on this smoker. I really like the design of a gravity fed system like this, and although I have read stories about bad switches, and control panels going out, I've not really had any issues with mine. I appreciate the capacity of the 1050, and I like the amount of smoke flavor imparted to the meat (something I feel is lacking in my friend's pellet smoker). With the exception of a wider middle rack, I've been running stock since day one, but there are a lot of choices for aftermarket parts. On a moderate temperature day, set at 225ºF, I get about 8-10 hours of cooking time on a full hopper of charcoal and wood chunks, allowing me to catch some sleep on an overnight brisket. So why only a 4-star rating if I think the GS1050 is so great? I think there's room for improvement in the overall build quality, and the switches can be a little bit temperamental at times. Overall, I think the Gravity Series 1050 is a great value for the money, and if the day ever comes that I need to replace my GS1050, I will be looking to replace it with a similar gravity fed model.
