The handrails are designed to have a minimum of 1.5" clearance from the wall to the back of the handrail to meet standard clearance code requirements (see images for technical dimensional drawing). Check your local zoning codes for all applicable compliance requirements. Matching stainless steel screws are included. The handrail brackets are designed to be mounted directly into wall studs.
