Really solid door, paint finish is amazing, but it is not really very printable. It would need to be scuffed up well to take any paint, so when one side accidentally had trim applied to it and there were tiny nail holes after we removed the trim strip the painters were concerned about painting the whole door because the finish wouldn't be as good if they had to prep the whole door and eventually the paint-over could fail vs if we just kept most of the door untouched and just painted the one style to cover the small nail holes. this is a pretty nice barn door for the price. the door itself is paint grade so it’s unfinished and will need a coat of paint otherwise it will scuff. the hardware is decent, the track comes with pre drilled holes which did not line up with any of our studs so that has been the only difficult part of install. once it is completely hung i will update my review on the quality of the hardware.. Please note you have to buy the concealed wall box with this or it cant be installed. Mine arrived with a dent and as my contractor failed to tell me before installing it, I feel I have to keep it. Had he told me before installing it, which was rhr last thing he did as his job was done, I would have exchanged it as it's a great towel warmer and works well.
