Sturdy door and nice quality - the weight of it makes it seem like a pricier door. It is solid but with the mdf outer- well let’s just say be careful your contractor doesn’t place it in a place with standing water. The good news is the swelling that occurs dries out but you have to let it sit for days. The other thing is the primer on it is super glossy and even after sanding isn’t the easiest to paint. Doors are SOLID and heavy. Very happy with quality for the price. A couple of corners were damaged during shipping. Mostly a cosmetic issue. But both Wayfair and the manufacture worked with us to find a solution. Overall very pleased. We specifically liked that these are already painted, so it was one less thing we needed to worry about right now. We didn’t do “slow close” doors, and I think that the weight of the doors will prevent us from ever needing that. We still need to have them framed out, and hardware installed.. Danielle. Denver, CO. This solid wood-engineered door ageless design will add the great looks of a colonial past with the colors and finish of your choice to create a warm and cozy feeling. It comes with 3 coats of white primer so that you can add the finishing of your choice and it will look great, adding protection to the wood to resist for the years to come. This door is meant for internal use and has a trimming allowance of ¼-in on each side and 1-in on the top and bottom, please note that trimming will damage any finish or the primer, and any edge that was cut must be sealed or painted to prevent moisture from entering the wood.
