I purchased these with stripes because my partner can't figure out the top or side of sheets. These actually have a sewn in piece that says TOP/BOTTOM. If I'd known that I wouldn't have needed stripes. LOVE THAT. Surely he'll be able to figure this out. I also want to note that the elastic isn't just around the bottom at corners, it's around the entire bottom which will make it easier to stay put - this must be their OptiFit band. This set is very nice! It is a bamboo sheet set and is very soft! The color matches my bed set and bed skirt perfectly! But the bamboo set my husband bought me last spring was made including corner huggers, I am sure they cost more, but that extra was very nice. I would like them on all of my sheets! But, I will take the softness first. So, I absolutely love this set, got it for my birthday It came on the very day they said! The quality of the material. It can be washed and dried, which is nice with my dogs! They sleep with us- lap dogs. Well, I will tell you that I do recommend this to you, I hope you try this set!
