The large water collection area prevents any kind of pooling and has a luxurious feel about it. I eventually realized that showering without it was much more enjoyable. Had to throw it away. The teak option is the way to go but it’s not available for my model for some weird reason. Let me put the answer here, maybe it will help somebody else “Handing is determined by the exterior side of the door, whichever side the hinges are on.” The only concerning thing is that it’s hard to turn the lock, you need to put more forces than usual.
