Seasoning and reseasoning is something that I actually like to do to keep them non stick. These pans sit on my stove and they are what we us 95% of the time. Do it! They will last your lifetime and through your children’s lives. The pan comes unseasoned so the color is more bronze, after seasoning they will be black. Great product, poor shipping prep. Love the Braiser - the peche is gorgeous and the price for the 5qt is unbeatable. Le Creuset makes incredibly wonderful products. Only issue is how Wayfair ships the item - they leave it in the Le Creuset box with no additional padding. My pot arrived with several scratches on it and the box was incredibly beaten up. Beautiful Crucible knob is an easy way to elevate any piece. I have it here replacing a signature gold tone stainless steel knob on my deep teal Dutch oven. The knob feels substantial and makes it easier to grip the lid. I have attached photos comparing the before-after.
