However, there's no mention or photo that shows this part is only the 'sleeve' that is inserted into the rough-in mix valve - it doesn't include the internal cartridge (must purchase separately if needed). [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this drain for a new bathroom remodel to add to a custom sized shower. I am very happy with the quality and look of it. Installation was a bit tricky as this was the first custom shower drain I have installed but I was able to figure it out. Once installed this drain is awesome. The large water collection area prevents any kind of pooling and has a luxurious feel about it. The rough-in valve can be installed in any direction as long as the bathtub center line is aligned with one of the six screws on the plaster guard. The plaster guard has a flat top for easy leveling in installation to ensure the trim will be standing straight after installation.
